Adventures in The Amazon - Itinerary
Embark on an unforgettable adventure trip in the Amazon rainforest, where nature's wonders come alive. Explore lush greenery, vibrant wildlife, and winding rivers as you trek through one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. Experience thrilling activities like canoeing, zip-lining, and guided wildlife spotting, all while immersing yourself in the rich culture of local communities. This journey promises breathtaking scenery and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
Day 1 - Arrive in Manaus
We will pick you up from Manaus International Airport (JRO) and transfer you to your hotel, where you will spend the night. At the hotel, your host will brief you on the upcoming trip and arrange dinner for the group for anyone who wants to join.
Day 2 - Into The Jungle - Jungle Lodge
At 8 am, the transfer from the hotel to the Ceasa port will take place. There a speed-boat is used to take the group to the meeting of the waters (the point where the Negro river and the Solimões river meet). From there, the group is taken to the village of Careiro on the other side of the river. The entire Boat-ride takes about 20 minutes. At Careiro, the journey continues by car for about 50 minutes to the River Paraná do Mamori. From there the last part of the journey is by speed-boat for about 45 minutes reaching the lodge around 11:30am.
At 2:30pm the activities begin, the group leaves by motorized canoe for piranha fishing, dolphin and bird watching and the sunset watching at about 6:30pm. After dinner cayman then the sunset is done. It’s an activity where the guide catches a cayman and gives technical information about it.
Day 3 - Jungle Lodge
At 5:30am a canoe trip is done to watch the sunrise and to get a close up view of the forest waking up to a new day. At 7am breakfast is served and then at 8am a jungle walk starts and it goes up to 11:30am. During the walk, the guide explains valuable information about the forest. Much is learned about medicinal plants, spiders, trees and there is even a chance of seeing monkeys.
The afternoon activity starts at 3pm. It is canoeing in the flooded forest and in the small channels. It is a great opportunity to see and learn about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle.
Day 4 - Jungle Lodge
From 8 am. to 11:30 am., a local family house is visited to learn about their simple and fantastic way of living in the forest. At 3 pm., the group will leave for the forest, the survival part of the jungle tour, moving to different campsites as the tour develops.
Day 5, 6 & 7 - Camping
During the camping period in the forest, there is also a chance to sleep at the locals' houses.
The group spends these days camping in the forest. During this time, we will practice the following activities: spearfishing at night to catch our own food, trekking in different parts of the forest, canoeing, camping in different areas, and visiting the homes of locals. The highlight of this tour is acquiring survival techniques in the forest.
Day 8 - Back to Manaus
On the last day, the group returns to the lodge at about 11 am. After lunch at 1:30 pm., the group returns to Manaus, arriving in the city at about 4:30 pm., and goes back to the hotel. A final night's dinner will be organised for those who want to partake.
